Laetiporus sulphureus mycelium was cultivated under sterile conditions in liquid nutrition medium. An ethanolic extract of the biomass (bottle on the left) was subjected to application trials. As shown in the picture, hard candies and jelly gum were dyed successfully with the colorant laetiporic acid.
